Job summary

Parts Town is seeking a Workflow Coordinator (Production Planner) to join the Continuous Improvement team. You will forecast daily dispatches, create execution plans, and ensure the right staffing for same-day shipping in a fast-growing operation.

This role requires strong Excel skills, planning experience, and clear communication. Located in the Chicagoland area, you may work Mondays–Fridays with occasional Saturdays and lift up to 30lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can quickly navigate through change.
• You have experience in scheduling, forecasting or production planning.
• You possess a solid understanding of distribution operations.
• You demonstrate great communication skills, in particular over the phone/radio.
• You are well-versed in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Forecast daily production rates.
• Plan daily labor requirements to meet forecast.
• Monitor and evaluate actual to plan rates.
• Coordinate with DC leadership on work assignment changes throughout the day.
• Release outbound work to team to ensure SLAs are met.
• Monitor DC automation systems and alert and/or troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Assess daily operations and provide feedback to leadership.
• Communicate with external and internal support groups on system issues.
