Job summary

LHH is assisting a repeat manufacturing client in Milwaukee to hire a Production Planner who will be the primary scheduler of manufacturing operations and engage in analytical planning activities.

Develop schedules to meet customer demand, collaborate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing and distribution, monitor data for improvements, and ensure order accuracy. This role focuses on forecasting, capacity analysis, and timely material delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Five years of experience as a Production Planner or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, production planning and supply chain principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate the production process, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and distribution.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of production materials.
• Collaborate with the sales team to accurately forecast future demand and adjust production plans accordingly.
• Identify potential capacity bottlenecks in the production process and propose solutions to improve productivity.
• Determine outsourcing requirements based on plant capacity and product lead times.
• Participate in regular production schedule meetings to understand plant performance and resolve any schedule conflicts.
• Ensure accuracy of all production orders.
• Regularly assess the performance of the production process and implement changes as needed.
