Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Delivery Dispatcher to plan and dispatch local deliveries for wholesale customers. You will lead a team of delivery drivers, coordinate between accounts, the store, and drivers to ensure timely, efficient service.

In this role, you will assign routes, track progress, handle customer requests, and step in as driver during peak times. Strong communication, leadership, and logistical planning are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assigns drivers to deliveries considering product, location and time.
• Tracks progress of drivers along routes.
• Balances workloads and break times while assigning drivers.
• Records drivers' in/out times for analysis and improvements in efficiency.
• Receives and resolves customer requests or complaints.
• Acts as driver during peak delivery times.
