Job summary

Parts Town is seeking a Workflow Coordinator to join the Continuous Improvement team. You will forecast daily dispatches, create execution plans, and ensure staff coverage at the HMI for effective goods-to-person picking and on-time shipping. You’ll alert leaders to issues and help clear jams while driving a WAV vehicle.

You will execute daily planning, monitor progress, and coordinate with managers to uphold same-day shipping commitments. Strong communication and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Fast-paced environment experience preferred.
• Experience in scheduling, forecasting or production planning.
• Solid understanding of distribution operations.
• Excellent communication skills, especially via phone/radio.
• Proficient in Excel for planning and reporting.
• Data-driven decision making and quick problem solving.
• Willingness to learn to operate additional equipment (lift).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with DC leadership on work changes throughout the day.

The Job at a Glance

As the Workflow Coordinator(Internally known as,Production Planner), you will be a part of the Continuous Improvement team and serve as mission control for our daily outbound activities. You will be in charge of forecasting our daily dispatches, creating an execution plan, and making sure we have people in the right areas. Much of your day will be spent inthe heart of our operation at the human machine interface (HMI) where you will be able to monitor our conveyance and goods-to-person picking systems and alert operation leaders of potential issues and assist in clearing jams driving a WAV vehicle. You will continuously assess operations progress to the plan and coordinate with managers and supervisors throughout the day to ensure we uphold our same day shipping promise. You will provide feedback to DC leaders on the days operations and highlight areas of opportunity.

A Typical Day

• Forecast daily production rates


• Plan daily labor requirements to meet forecast


• Monitor and evaluate actual to plan rates


• Coordinate with DC leadership on work assignment changes throughout the day


• Release outbound work to team to ensure SLAs are met


• Monitor DC automation systems and alert and/or troubleshoot issues as they arise


• Assess daily operations and provide feedback to leadership


• Communicate with external and internal support groups on system issues

To Land This Opportunity

• You demonstrate great communication skills, in particular,over the phone/radio

• You are willing to learn how to drive small manlift


• You're looking to work Monday - Friday 10:30am-7:00pm, and you're able to work Saturdays when needed


• You possess the ability to move around for long periods of time and consistently lift up to30lbs unassisted

The salary range for this role is $43,993.80 - $53,720.20 annually ($21.62 - $25.82 hourly) which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
