Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Production Planner 3 to join the Configuration Management Team. You will interpret engineering drawings and manage manufacturing bills of materials, coordinating with cross-functional teams to keep builds on schedule.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with related experience, proficiency with SAP/MRP/PDM, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists.
• Experience with MS Office such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience with SAP, MRP, and/or PDM.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Interpret detailed engineering drawings, manufacturing bills of materials, and related engineering documentation using SAP/MRP/PDM systems (e.g. engineering changes, parts lists and drawings).
• Reference technical instructions and graphics to create and update Assembly Instructions (A.I.) and other related manufacturing build documents.
• Work with manufacturing staff, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and test engineering on processes and A.I. (Assembly Instruction) maintenance.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplined teams to meet tight deadlines and support manufacturing builds.
• Plan the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations relating to a specific portion of the product for guidance of production workers.
• Plan detailed operations from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and other engineering releases.
