Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Production Scheduler to manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, coordinating material, capacity and cross-functional teams to meet customer demand.

Your role will involve releasing and prioritizing orders, analyzing build status, and presenting key metrics to leadership for decisions. A university degree with 2+ years' experience and SAP/MRP proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Onsite role requiring US citizenship for access to program information.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure material and resource readiness.
  • Analyze clear-to-build status and release production orders.
  • Prepare key metrics for leadership decision-making (on-time starts, COGIs).
  • Manage exceptions and material flow including pass-through shipments.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet customer requirements.
  • Release, sequence, and reschedule orders based on priorities.

What You Will Do:
  • Execute and manage daily, weekly and monthly production schedules, connecting material and resource availability for sales and operations execution (S&OE) horizon Coordinate with cross functional teams, master schedulers, quality, engineering, purchasing, inventory control, program management leaders and other groups Issue Resolution: Identify risks including shortages, bottlenecks, and disruptions; implement recovery and mitigation plans with cross-functional team Track status of material availability and production readiness (leverage detailed capacity) to support the production plan
  • Analyze clear-to-build status to release, resequencing, and prioritize production orders
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present key metrics to support leadership decision-making: on time starts, COGIs, Clear to Build, Exception Message management for make parts
  • Exception message processing for STOs/internal WO
  • Responsible for managing nonstandard flow of materials such as pass-through shipments, shop overload parts, outside processing, etc.
  • Evaluate and coordinate production orders to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements.
  • Release, sequence, perform detailed scheduling using APS (where applicable) and reschedule orders based on customer priorities, material availability, and capacity
  • Identify bottlenecks, develop recovery plans for past-due orders, and drive execution through the S&OE horizon
  • Coordinate with procurement to secure timely delivery of materials (shortage reviews, material availability) to convert planned orders to production orders on time
  • Communicate any slips or production impacts that affect sales or delivery commitments

  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or software

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
