Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Foley, Alabama, is seeking a Production Control Manager to translate master schedules into daily shop-floor actions and resolve disruptions to ensure on-time delivery. You will lead a team of production controllers and partner with master schedulers to feed back execution realities into future plans.

Relocation assistance is provided. This onsite role focuses on managing work orders, expediting, and driving continuous improvement using lean/Six Sigma principles.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Experience in SAP and/or other ERP system.
  • Experience in Material management or supply chain or SIOP or Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily production status against schedule; identify and elevate variances, delays, and constraints.
  • Lead shop-floor expediting: help resolve material shortages, team staffing gaps that threaten schedule adherence.
  • Run weekly production control meetings team meeting/ Health measures meetings.
  • Manage work order release, prioritization, and re-sequencing in response to real-time disruptions.
  • Drive root cause analysis on recurring schedule misses; own corrective action follow-through.
  • Maintain and improve production tracking systems (MES, ERP/SAP) for real-time visibility.
  • Partner with Master Scheduling to feed back execution constraints into future schedule builds.
  • Manage a team of production controllers; set priorities and develop/ mentor staff.
  • Report and manage EOTD/ IOTD/AMS OTD, schedule attainment (OTR/OTS/OTF), Aged WIP/NCM, E&O and other related metrics to leadership.
  • Support new program introduction, end of life program ramp down, rate changes, and continuous improvement initiatives (lean/Six Sigma).

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Managing resources along with effective time management and organizational skills
  • CORE, Lean Six Sigma or similar certification.
  • APICS CPIM certification.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
