Job summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, orders, inventory, and capacity.
• Monitor work orders and production progress to adhere to schedules.
• Review shortages and coordinate with stakeholders to minimize disruptions.
• Create, release, and maintain manufacturing work orders in the ERP system.
• Ensure materials, work orders, and planning data are accurate and available for production readiness.
• Update Bills of Materials, routing information, and planning parameters.
• Track order status, schedule attainment, production progress, and material usage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve planning issues and optimize throughput.
• Generate and maintain production, inventory, and planning reports.
• Perform other duties to support manufacturing and program needs.

Position Summary

The Production Planner supports production planning and scheduling activities to ensure materials, resources, and manufacturing orders are aligned with customer demand and production objectives. This role partners closely with Procurement, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain production readiness, monitor material availability, and support the timely execution of production schedules.

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or related fields
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems
• Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field & equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis
• Proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

Preferred Requirements

• Experience within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central
