Job summary

Htprof is seeking a Production Planner in the United States to support planning and scheduling of materials, resources, and orders to meet customer demand and production goals.

You will partner with Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality to ensure readiness and timely execution of schedules. Responsibilities include creating work orders, monitoring progress, and maintaining BOMs and routing data.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in production planning or related field
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems
  • Knowledge of MRP concepts
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
  • Proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent cross-functional communication abilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, orders, inventory and capacity
  • Monitor work orders and production progress to ensure adherence to plans
  • Review material shortages and coordinate with stakeholders to minimize disruptions
  • Create, release, and maintain manufacturing work orders in ERP system
  • Support production readiness by ensuring materials, orders and planning data are accurate
  • Update Bills of Materials, routing information and planning parameters
  • Track status, attainment, progress, material usage and output accuracy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling issues
  • Generate and maintain production, inventory and planning reports
  • Perform other duties in support of manufacturing and program needs

Position Summary

The Production Planner supports production planning and scheduling activities to ensure materials, resources, and manufacturing orders are aligned with customer demand and production objectives. This role partners closely with Procurement, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain production readiness, monitor material availability, and support the timely execution of production schedules.

  • 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or related fields
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems
  • Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field & equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis
  • Proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central
