Job summary

LeoForce in Springfield, NJ is seeking a Production Planner to manage the schedule for manufacturing operations. The role focuses on aligning material flow with customer commitments and driving on-time delivery while optimizing lead times.

You will maintain ERP data, collaborate with engineering and operations, and lead cost-improvement efforts to protect gross margin on hardware deliverables.

Qualifications

• Mid level production planning experience in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing workflows.
• Ability to communicate risks and coordinate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Monthly, quarterly, yearly execution of customer commitments.
• Maintain 100% OTIF for customer orders.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure timely parts movement.
• Communicate execution risks and opportunities to leadership.
• Develop risk mitigation plans at order start, including planning orders and yield factors.
• Document lessons learned for continuous manufacturing improvements.
• Coordinate quality, manufacturing and design engineering resources as needed.
• Drive rapid ECO/EO/MRB resolution for development parts.
• Plan outsourcing vs insourcing to reduce lead times and risk.
• Collaborate with engineering to drive cost improvement for margins.
• Produce hardware execution schedules for management/customers.
• Maintain accurate ERP data: commit dates, orders, quantities.

Job Details

Experience: Mid Level

Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

• Monthly, quarterly, yearly execution of customer commitments
• 100% OTIF to all customer commitments
• Partnering with the operations team and to ensure parts are moving through facility in accordance with or ahead of schedule.
• Communicating execution risks and opportunities to Leadership
• Ensuring that appropriate risk mitigation plans are in place at the start of execution (ie: planning orders, yield factors, enlisting manufacturing engineering involvement, etc).
• Document lessons learned and opportunities for manufacturing improvements for any subsequent orders.
• Coordination of all necessary resources (quality, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, to ensure that all the necessary players have the information to move forward seamlessly
• Drive rapid resolution of ECO’s, EO’s and MRB for development parts.
• Proactive planning to identify when we should be outsourcing vs. insourcing parts in order to reduce overall lead time and risk to execution.
• Work with engineering and operations to drive cost improvement projects to ensure gross margin targets are achieved for hardware deliverables.
• Produce hardware execution schedules to provide to management and/or customers as required.
• Maintaining accurate data in ERP system to include commit dates, open/active orders, quantities, etc.
