Job summary

Danfoss GmbH in Loves Park, IL is seeking a Production Planner to connect demand, supply and production, ensuring materials arrive on time while supporting delivery performance.

You will own production schedules (MPS), manage MRP data and inventory, partner with purchasing and production, and support continuous improvement efforts. Occasional travel is possible, and APICS CPIM or willingness to obtain is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience with planning systems (SAP preferred) and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own delivery performance and inventory targets for your product lines, balancing service levels and inventory turns
  • Partner with purchasing and production teams to ensure materials and schedules support on-time delivery
  • Plan and maintain production schedules (MPS) and material requirements to meet demand forecasts
  • Maintain accurate MRP and inventory data, including production orders and adjustments
  • Support cross-functional initiatives, including engineering changes and continuous improvement projects
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment; APICS (CPIM) certification or willingness to obtain
  • Foundational experience with planning systems (SAP preferred) and strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisionsClear communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and engage stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with occasional travel

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000- $85,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
