Job Summary

Production Planner I is responsible for coordinating production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of products. The role involves working closely with various teams to optimize production efficiency and meet customer demands. The individual’s attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to collaborate across teams will contribute to the overall success of the operation.

This position may require minor travel and some after-hours reviews of production plans.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, resource availability, material availability, and production capacity.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent shortages or excess inventory. Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment. Raw Material ordering may be required in some business units.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to coordinate activities, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize plans. Use insights to improve efficiency.
  • Communicate schedules, priorities, and updates to stakeholders. Address issues proactively.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to reduce costs and enhance workflows.
  • Work with quality control to ensure plans meet quality standards. Monitor on-hold items for timely resolution.
  • Maintain basic master data as required.
  • Handle minimal project assignments.
  • Understand and track relevant metrics and targets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred qualifications include an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, or related field, and APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP).

Working Conditions
  • Office environment and plant visits with PPE provided
  • Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, with some evening/weekend work
Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, walking, standing, sitting, and working in extreme temperatures, with specific weight and activity levels detailed.
