Donaldson Company in Nicholasville, KY is seeking a Production Painter for the 2nd shift to powder coat sheet metal for air filtration systems. Work is onsite Monday–Thursday, 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.
You will operate paint equipment, prepare surfaces, and coordinate color grouping to maintain a smooth flow through the painting process. Responsibilities include handling drums, following DOT/HAZMAT rules, and completing required training.

The Production Painter at our Nicholasville, KY location involves working collaboratively to powder coat sheet metal for Industrial and Mobile Solutions air filtration systems in an innovative, team-oriented environment. This is a 2nd shift onsite role, with hours Monday - Thursday 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Operates and conducts equipment changeover of production equipment as defined in operator instructions for that particular piece of equipment and department
Knowledge of and ability to process paperwork such as scrap report, move tickets, etc.
Ability to read, understands, and utilizes route sheets
Must be able to operate all paint related equipment
Responsible for labeling of all drums and paint related material
Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
Make sure all surfaces to be painted are properly prepared before painting
Gather parts to group by colors and establish a flow of product through the painting process
Be able to move large/awkward items in/out of the department using forklifts and cranes
Successfully complete annual RCRA Hazardous Waste and DOT Hazardous Material Training

Training required for hazardous waste and DOT procedures
Operate spray paint application equipment and be quality conscious with attention to detail
Make repairs to surfaces for recoating
Move objects with heavy equipment (forklifts and cranes)
Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced environment
Reacts to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned
Inventory counting and material identification
