Job summary

Donaldson Company is seeking a production associate to assemble products, package components, and operate machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will read blueprints, follow instructions, and work with hand and power tools to build and package items for shipment.

Safety and accuracy are essential, and you will document outcomes and support continuous improvement efforts. You will perform quality checks, maintain 6S discipline, and rotate through multiple positions while performing

Qualifications

  • Aptitude test covering basic math, directions, and diagrams.
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Proficient with computers and labeling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products and package components using hand and power tools according to blueprints.
  • Perform tasks across multiple positions in a production environment.
  • Conduct quality checks and complete documentation (scrap sheets, logs, data).
  • Set up and operate machines and equipment.
  • Participate in 6S-driven housekeeping and continuous improvement.
  • Use computer for data entry and label creation.
  • Operate material handling equipment like pallet jacks and wrappers.
  • Rotate through production roles as required.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and maintain attendance; overtime as needed.

Roles Responsibilities
  • Assemble products and package components using hand and power tools, following verbal and written instructions, including blueprints
  • Perform a variety of tasks/roles throughout the day in a steady-paced production environment
  • Conduct required quality checks and complete required documentation (e.g.., scrap sheets, logs, data gathering, first/last piece inspection reports)
  • Set ups and operates various machines and equipment
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives, including maintaining a clean and safe work environment using 6S principles
  • Use computer for production-related tasks such as data entry and creating labels
  • Operates various material handling equipment such as power pallet jacks, lifts and packaging wrappers
  • Performs multiple tasks, and rotates from position to position as required in the production process
  • Use appropriate PPE for the task assigned
  • Regular attendance and ability to work overtime
Minimum Qualifications
  • Successfully pass an aptitude test covering basic math principles, reading directions and understanding diagrams
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time
  • Work overtime as needed
  • Ability to read blueprints, and understand verbal and written instructions
  • Able to use hand/power tools, measuring equipment such as gages, calipers, indicators, scales, and tape measures
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to work with computers, label makers, etc.

Preferred Qualification

Previous work experience in a production or industrial environment

Ability to learn new tasks and train in other positions
