Job summary

Donaldson Company seeks a Material Handler for our Nicholasville, KY facility on the 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 3 p.m.–1 a.m.). You will move, organize, and locate sheet-metal parts in a collaborative team setting and use RF scanners to ensure efficient part flow.

You must read route sheets and blueprints, operate forklifts, and communicate across departments while maintaining safety and quality. Prior ERP experience and continuous improvement involvement are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to operate forklifts of various makes and models.
• Strong communications skills for interdepartmental efficiency.
• Previous experience managing multiple tasks with a shift.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow all EHS rules.
• Read and use route sheets, picklists, and blueprints.
• Operate RF Scanner to locate parts.
• Organize parts by job order per work instructions.
• Be a self-starter who can work independently.
• Handle materials and transport products.
• Perform additional tasks as directed.
• Comply with Health and Safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Support DPS continuous improvement and kaizen events.
• Be available for scheduled overtime and assist other departments as needed.

The Material Handler at our Nicholasville, KY location involves working collaboratively to with the Industrial Solutions Machines area to move, organize, and locate sheet-metal parts an innovative team orientated environment. This is a 2nd shift onsite role, with hours Monday - Thursday 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Role Responsibilities:

• Work and drive safely, observing all EHS rules
• Knowledge of and ability to process paperwork such as route sheets, picklists, etc.
• Ability to read, understand and utilize route sheets, picklists and blueprints
• Ability to operate an RF Scanner to locate parts
• Ability to organize parts by job order per the work instructions
• Must be a self-starter with ability to work independently
• Material Handling and Transportation of Product
• Perform other tasks as directed
• Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Uses all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required
• Active involvement in DPS through continuous improvement and kaizen events
• Must be able to work scheduled overtime hours
• Assist other departments as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent experience required
• Ability to operate a forklifts of various makes and models
• Strong communications skills for interdepartmental efficiency
• Previous experience with managing multiple tasks with a shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating a forklift
• Previous experience with RF reader or other ERP systems
