Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist with production line setup, including stringing the line and preparing packing materials.
• Assemble, glue, label, and number packing boxes accurately for finished vinyl siding products.
• Visually inspect siding panels for color variations, defects, and other quality concerns before packaging.
• Load finished siding boxes onto skids and strap skids securely for warehouse removal.
• Maintain housekeeping, safety, and quality standards throughout assigned production areas.
• Report production issues, restock supplies, monitor hot glue levels, and assist with training other packers as needed.

The Production Packer plays an important role in maintaining product quality, safe work practices, accurate packaging, and steady line flow. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with production line setup, including stringing the line and preparing packing materials.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $19 per hour.
• Job Type: Contract/temporary.
• Location: Jackson, MI 49203.
• Shift: Nights, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Schedule: Rotating 2-2-3 schedule.
• Schedule Pattern: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, continuing rotation.
• Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend, Friday through Sunday, based on the rotating schedule.
