Job summary

D&W Fine Pack in Fountain Inn, SC is hiring a Production Packer who loads materials into machines, sorts, checks, and packs a wide range of products. You will follow safety and quality standards on a fast-paced 12-hour shift.

Starting pay is $16.25 per hour, with an additional $0.75 per hour for night shifts. A $0.25 raise after 30 days via CAP milestones and up to $1.00 more within 60 days through CAP are possible. Overtime opportunities available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Willingness to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • May be required to operate floor loading trucks.
  • Ability to work safely, cross‑functional training, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Know emergency procedures and what to do in power outages, machine failures, injuries, etc.
  • Wears and utilizes PPE as required.
  • Understand and identify Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
  • Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports injuries/incidents immediately.
  • Participates in safety improvement activities (Hazard Identification, Safety Suggestions, Safety Teams).
  • Performs production tasks such as loading materials into machines and packing products.
  • Examines products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Maintains work area in neat condition.
  • Assists other workers with tasks as requested.
  • Follows GMPs and quality practices.
  • Stacks, wraps and labels raw materials or finished goods.
  • Records product, packaging and order information on forms/records.
  • Supports Food Safety initiatives by training and complying with practices.

Job description

We have an immediate opportunity for aProduction Packer. In this function you will perform various production related tasks such as loading materials into machines, sorting, checking, and packaging products.

Start at $16.25 per hour (plus, earn an additional $0.75 per hour for working the night shift!)

Earn a $0.25 pay increase after just 30 days by successfully completing your first Career Advancement Program (CAP) milestone.

Earn up to an additional $1.00 within your first 60 days through our Career Advancement Program (CAP).

Shift Times: 7:00 am-7:15 pm (A & B shifts) and 7:00 pm-7:15 am (C & D shifts). Rotating 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off!

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines
  • Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.
  • Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
  • Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately
  • Actively participates in the D&W safety improvement process/activities, e.g., Hazard Identification, Safety Suggestions, Safety Teams, etc.
  • Performs various production related tasks such as loading materials into machines and packing a wide variety of products
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
  • Maintains his or her work area in neat condition
  • Assists other workers with specific task as requested
  • Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP’s
  • Stack, wrap and label raw materials or finished goods
  • Record product, packaging and order information on specified forms and records
  • Supports the Plant’s Food Safety initiatives by completing plant required Food Safety training and by implementing / complying with the required practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Willingness to work and follow verbal/written instructions
  • May be required to use floor loading trucks
  • Ability to work safely, willingness to train in cross-functional areas, and work overtime as needed.
