Job summary

HL Mando America Corp in Hogansville, GA is seeking a Production Engineer to drive safety, productivity and quality improvements on our Caliper machining line. You will help develop new models, establish standardized processes and support mass production KPI targets.

The role focuses on reducing variation, improving first-pass yield and implementing PFMEA-driven controls, with cross-functional collaboration and an emphasis on continuous improvement and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Understanding of GD&T for machining drawings.
• Basic knowledge of cutting tools and machining conditions.
• Comprehensive understanding of CNC programming.
• Ability to train operators to achieve efficiency goals.
• Ability to draw jig and fixtures.
• Understanding of gage systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Able to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Improve production productivity.
• Solve major quality issues from an engineering perspective.
• Participate in 5S improvements on the shop floor.
• Complete assigned work timely and efficiently.
• Standardize line operation and documentation.
• Promote continual improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain prompt communication to assure MCA success.
• Increase first pass yield by improving measurement systems and machining processes.
• Investigate/mitigate risks with PFMEA and control plans.
• Manage process variation by reviewing quality reports and implementing corrective actions.
• Support new part development by reviewing engineering drawings.
• Conduct and manage production line try-outs for new models or modifications.
• Follow MCA policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate teamwork and a positive attitude.
