Job summary

Commercial Metals Corp. is seeking workers to interpret work orders and set up/operate equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will maintain a clean work area, follow safety regulations, and perform data entry at computer workstations.

Responsibilities include safely operating material handling equipment, transporting materials, and loading/unloading trucks or railcars with overhead cranes. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to set up, operate, and monitor shop equipment to ensure a conforming product.
• Must follow schedules, work orders, and instructions.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions from crew supervisor.
• Perform material handling tasks and hardness tests with provided equipment.
• Take measurements with tape measures/calipers.

Responsibilities

• Interpret work orders and work instructions to set-up and operate equipment.
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations.
• Perform transactions and data entry at computer workstations.
• Safely operate material handling equipment to transport and position material for processing (bridge/jib cranes, forklifts).
• Unloading and loading of trucks and/or railcars with overhead cranes.
