Job summary

Epsilyte Peru, IL is seeking a Production Operator to join our Operations team. You will monitor and control five chemical batch reactors, measure chemicals, and ensure safe, efficient production that meets quality standards.

This role requires rotating 12-hour shifts, days/nights, weekends and holidays. Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or higher, strong math and reading skills, and proven computer proficiency. TWIC access is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree or Certificate in related technical field is preferred
• This role is scheduled for rotating 12-hour shifts. Must be able and available to work days, nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Related work experience in chemical plant, industrial/manufacturing, or military is preferred
• The ideal applicant will be proficient in math, reading comprehension, and mechanical reasoning with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Able to follow detailed instructions and record precise chemical process information.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency is required

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control five chemical batch reactors through computerized system
• Measure chemicals and add to process
• Perform housekeeping and maintain a safe working environment
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines and procedures
• Operate reactors and equipment to expected performance levels
• Work in a team environment where your contributions are encouraged, recognized, and valued
• Any other duties as deemed necessary
