Job summary

GAF in Myerstown, PA is seeking a skilled manufacturing worker for the Production Operator role. You will be a key contributor in the Production department and aid the team across various tasks on the production line.

The position involves a rotating schedule of days and nights, working safely, maintaining housekeeping, and supporting uptime through equipment and process knowledge. This role requires a HS diploma and collaboration with team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and write effectively and perform basic arithmetic skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills including a positive outlook toward team members, staff, and company goals.
• Demonstrated understanding of processes, equipment, and product specifications.
• Physical capability and stamina to fit workplace demands.

Responsibilities

• Support production team as needed to clear jams, monitor equipment, empty waste hoppers, disposition product, and fill-in for machine operator vacancies.
• Work safely and assume responsibility for safety of self and others; maintain excellent housekeeping.
• Participate in equipment maintenance activities and all machine shut-down/lace-up efforts to support uptime.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings and training; communicate responsibly.
• Strive for continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity.
