Job summary

Pregis is hiring a Production Operator at our Indiana facility. The role focuses on safely and efficiently operating the production line, maintaining quality standards, and reducing waste.

The operator will perform quality checks, handle packaging, and support maintenance and cleanup activities. This hourly, non-exempt position reports to the Production Supervisor and requires strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with SAP or ERP systems, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely.
• Ability to read a tape measure and document quality readings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the production line to meet production rates and quality standards.
• Perform quality checks including length/weight, vacuum tests, and micrometer readings.
• Operate core cutting machine and pallet jack; assist with packaging and housekeeping as needed.
• Maintain safe work practices and report hazards or incidents promptly.
• Mentor/assist others on the line and coordinate with the Production Supervisor.
