Job summary

CraftMark Bakery, LLC seeks a Production Operator Level 5 for nights to join a highly automated facility in Indianapolis. You will operate and support the Doughball Line, assist with setup, prechecks, and packaging, with a focus on safety and quality in a temperature-controlled environment.

The role requires stamina for a 12-hour night shift (6:00 pm–6:00 am) in a 2-2-3 rotation, and the ability to lift 50 pounds and work with GMPs and ERP systems. OSHA and food safety awareness preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English or Spanish.
• Capable of inputting information into a computer/ERP.
• Lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for long shifts.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Able to work a 12-hour night shift in a 2-2-3 rotation.
• Experience with GMPs and sanitation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support Doughball Line equipment.
• Set up and precheck production lines.
• Identify mechanical issues and report to supervision.
• Maintain line cleanliness and cooperate with maintenance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

CraftMark Bakery is an innovative and highly automated commercial bakery that is looking for TOP TALENT to join a growing company! Our state-of-the-art bakery has a temperature-controlled environment, a GREAT culture and we set a new standard for quality and food safety, while providing real value and to our customers.

Mixing Operators and TexWrap Operators currentlyenjoy an outstanding wage package. The Production Operator is capable of contributing to all phases of the production process. This includes set up, precheck, operation of automated production equipment, preliminary identification of equipment issues, aiding with preventive maintenance and packaging of final product. Must be flexible to learn job assignments throughout production.

Day shift from 6:00 pm-6:00 am, 2-2-3 rotation

Responsibilities

• Choosing Safety First
• Maintaining food quality standards & comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
• Partner with team members to maintain consistent line operation.
• Ensure that machinery is running properly & reporting mechanical problems to supervisor or Maintenance.
• Input required information into the ERP system.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of machinery in assigned work area.
• Keep work are clean and debris free.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent math and comprehension skills
• Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English or Spanish to ensure safety, coaching and training.
• Capable of inputting and retrieving required information from a computer.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Be able to walk and/or stand a for an entire 12-hour shift based on your schedule.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Be able to walk, and/or stand a for an entire 12-hour shift based on your schedule.
• Ability to climb stairs/ladders during the shift as needed.
• Push, pull, bend, reach as needed during the shift (repetitive motion tasks).
• Able to perform cleaning/sanitation tasks using water/chemicals, cleaning tools, moving equipment pieces to the sanitation room, etc.
• Working in cooler environments between 40 to 70 degrees F

Preferred

• Two (2) years production experience, preferably in food manufacturing
• Experience operating PLC controlled equipment
• Prior experience operating Gemini machine
• Prior experience operating Peerless or Scheffer Mixers
