CraftMark Bakery in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Production Operator Level 5 for the Doughball Line on the mixer nights crew. This full-time position supports set up, operation of automated equipment, and packaging of finished product in a temperature-controlled environment, with a 6:00 pm–6:00 am, 2-2-3 rotation.

You will promote safety and GMP compliance, input required information into the ERP, and collaborate with the team to keep the line running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• English or Spanish proficiency for safety, coaching and training.
• Ability to input and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Stand/walk for a 12-hour shift.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Able to climb stairs or ladders as needed.
• Work in cooler environments 40–70°F.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated production equipment.
• Assist with setup, prechecks and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure machinery runs smoothly and report issues to supervisor.
• Input data into the ERP system.
• Maintain GMPs and food quality standards.
• Keep work area clean and debris free.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

CraftMark Bakery is an innovative and highly automated commercial bakery that is looking for TOP TALENT to join a growing company! Our state-of-the-art bakery has a temperature-controlled environment, a GREAT culture and we set a new standard for quality and food safety, while providing real value and to our customers.

Mixing Operators and TexWrap Operators currently enjoy an outstanding wage package. The Production Operator is capable of contributing to all phases of the production process. This includes set up, precheck, operation of automated production equipment, preliminary identification of equipment issues, aiding with preventive maintenance and packaging of final product. Must be flexible to learn job assignments throughout production.

Day shift from 6:00 pm-6:00 am, 2-2-3 rotation

Responsibilities

• Choosing Safety First
• Maintaining food quality standards & comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
• Partner with team members to maintain consistent line operation.
• Ensure that machinery is running properly & reporting mechanical problems to supervisor or Maintenance.
• Input required information into the ERP system.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of machinery in assigned work area.
• Keep work are clean and debris free.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent math and comprehension skills
• Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English or Spanish to ensure safety, coaching and training.
• Capable of inputting and retrieving required information from a computer.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Be able to walk and/or stand a for an entire 12-hour shift based on your schedule.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

• Ability to climb stairs/ladders during the shift as needed.
• Push, pull, bend, reach as needed during the shift (repetitive motion tasks).
• Able to perform cleaning/sanitation tasks using water/chemicals, cleaning tools, moving equipment pieces to the sanitation room, etc.
• Working in cooler environments between 40 to 70 degrees F

Preferred

• Two (2) years production experience, preferably in food manufacturing
• Experience operating PLC controlled equipment
• Prior experience operating Gemini machine
• Prior experience operating Peerless or Scheffer Mixers
