Job summary

TE Connectivity in Mansfield, OH, is seeking a tester to assemble and test relays and contactors on a union site. You will solder and test parts, ensuring quality and compliance with in-house procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in safe use of measuring instruments, hand tools, soldering iron and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Operational testing of product incl. operating times, voltage, dielectric, insulation resistance.
  • Test and adjust units to meet FTP specifications and procedures.
  • Read, interpreted and followed test instructions and procedures.
  • Use various measurement instruments to verify compliance to quality specs.
  • Conduct tests with analyzers, multimeters and power supplies.
  • Repair faults, reassemble products and complete tests.
  • May operate mass spectrometers or ESS equipment as needed.
  • Train other employees as needed.

Assemble, Solder, and Test a wide variety of Relays and Contactors.

Job Requirements
  • Operational testing of product including but not limited to operating times, operating voltage, dielectric, and insulation resistance. Test and adjust units to meet all in-shop final test FTP specifications and established procedures.
  • JSTD-001 Military Spec. Soldering Procedures
  • Be able to read and understand overall drawing, test specifications, FTP and ATP reports required.
  • Read, interpreted and followed written test instructions and procedures to accurately test products.
  • Must be able to utilize a wide variety of measurement instruments, hand tools, and gauges to check parts to verify compliance to quality specifications.
  • Conducted tests and diagnostic procedures using tools such as analyzers, multimeters and power supplies.
  • Repaired faults, reassembled products and completed additional tests.
  • Mabye required to operate mass spectrometers when required.
  • Mabye required to operate ESS equipment when required.
  • Supported, implemented and helped shape test approach by identifying solutions to recurring issues.
  • Checked color, shape, texture and grade of products and materials against established templates, charts and samples.
  • Be able to operate in a team environment with work sharing, team problem solving, and team acceptance of responsibility. Train other employees as needed.
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be eligible to work under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wire schematics accurately.
  • Proficient in the safe and correct use of measuring instruments, hand tools, soldering Iron and power tools.
Soldering Certification
  • Completed ESD training per OP 1707, Solder certification per OP 1701, Testing certification per OP 1704, J-STD-001 and IPC-620.

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $51,521 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
