Job summary

TE Connectivity is hiring an Assembler at our Mansfield, OH site. You will perform diversified soldering and assembly on a range of products, read blueprints and schematics, and work with precision tools to ensure quality.

This union site emphasizes teamwork, training others, and meeting tight tolerances. A high school diploma (or GED), 2 years of hands-on soldering experience, and ITAR eligibility are required; ESD training and J-STD-001 certification are preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wire schematics accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diversified soldering operation, including torch and iron soldering.
  • Perform diversified assembly on a variety of products with close tolerances and interrelated factors.
  • Must read blueprints, wire schematics, and use measurement instruments to verify quality specifications.
  • Finish relays with nameplates, decals, hardware, stamps, touch up paint, and perform packing and shipping duties.
  • Perform potting and encapsulation operations.
  • Operate in a team environment with shared responsibilities and train others as needed.

Job Requirements
  • Performs diversified soldering operation, including, but not limited to, torch and iron soldering.
  • Perform diversified assembly on a variety of products. This involves a considerable number of parts, close tolerances, and interrelated factors. Operate all equipment required to assemble a variety of products.
  • Must be able to read blueprints, wire schematics, utilize a wide variety of measurement instruments to check parts to verify compliance to quality specifications.
  • Finish relays with nameplates, decals, hardware, stamps, touch up paint etc. and perform packing and shipping duties.
  • Perform potting and encapsulation operations.
  • Be able to operate in a team environment with work sharing, team problem solving, and team acceptance of responsibility. Train other employees as needed.
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be eligible to work under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on manufacturing experience in soldering.
  • completed ESD training and solder certification J-STD-001 is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wire schematics accurately.
  • Proficient in the safe and correct use of measuring instruments, hand tools, soldering Iron and power tools

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $48,339 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
