Job summary

Dawn Foods is hiring a Production 1A in Louisville, KY. You will work with raw materials, mix formulas, and package products while rotating across several positions to build cross-functional skills and support operations.

This role emphasizes food safety, GMP adherence, and teamwork in a fast-paced bakery environment. Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be forklift-certified or willing to obtain certification, and possess basic math and report-writing abilities.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Write routine reports
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Perform basic arithmetic in daily tasks
• Follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
• Be able to work well with others or independently

Responsibilities

• Ensure all products meet specs, food safety, and regulatory requirements
• Learn and rotate between positions to build cross-functional knowledge
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping per GMP, AIB, IFS and HACCP
• Operate computer systems required for production processes
• Operate auxiliary equipment as needed
• Follow safety regulations and company SOPs to ensure quality and food safety
• Assist in training new team members
• Adhere to Dawn values and participate in the Circle of Excellence
