Job summary

Dawn Foods Global is seeking a Machine Operator I to join our Louisville, KY production team. You will handle raw materials, mix formulas, and package products for shipping in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires reading and following procedures, strong teamwork, and basic math skills. Forklift certification is a plus, with overtime and shift differentials available under UFCW contracts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Basic arithmetic skills and unit conversion.
• Ability to follow written or diagrammed instructions.
• Ability to work with others or independently.
• Forklift certification is helpful and can be pursued.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet specifications, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards per GMP, HACCP, and related standards.
• Operate and monitor production computer systems as required.
• Run auxiliary equipment as needed for production functions.
• Work safely following SOPs and batch card instructions.
• Complete pre-start checks and equipment inspections.
• Report quality or safety issues to lead/supervisor promptly.
• Assist in training new team members and adhere to Dawn Values.
