Job summary

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids is seeking a Production Operator I to join our team in a manufacturing setting. You will load, assemble, and inspect parts, perform changeovers, and ensure quality throughout the production cycle.

This role offers competitive pay, benefits, paid holidays, and opportunities for advancement within a long-standing, global hardware leader. The position is on 1st shift (7:00am–3:00pm) with a starting wage of $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, write and understand basic English.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. while standing for long periods.
• Basic reading, writing, computer and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and hand parts into the machine
• Conduct changeovers and setups
• Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements
• Hand assemble slide systems and parts
• Perform all quality functions and checks
• Follow all safety procedures and quality functions
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors
• Other duties as assigned
