Job summary

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company is seeking a Production Operator I in Grand Rapids. You will hand assemble slide systems, load and unload parts, and perform changeovers, quality checks, and safety procedures as part of daily operations.

This role offers a stable work environment with opportunities for overtime and growth. The position requires basic English, math and computer skills, and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• No previous manufacturing experience is required.
• Basic reading, writing, computer and math skills.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English.
• Ability to efficiently work in a high fast paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. while standing for long periods of time.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Hand assemble slide systems and parts.
• Load, unload and hand parts into the machine.
• Conduct changeovers and setups.
• Perform all quality functions and checks.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality functions.
• Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements.
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors.
