Job summary

Knape & Vogt is seeking a Production Operator I for its Grand Rapids, MI facility. The role involves loading and unloading parts, reading blueprints, and performing changeovers with attention to safety and quality.

No prior manufacturing experience is required, and on-the-job training is provided. You will work 1st shift (7:00am-3:00pm) with overtime opportunities, and enjoy benefits including medical/dental/vision, paid time off, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand basic instructions.
• Basic computer skills for monitoring equipment and data entry.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and hand parts into the machine.
• Perform changeovers and setups.
• Follow safety procedures and quality checks.
• Conduct quality inspections of parts and machinery.
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors.
• Work on 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:00pm.
