Job summary

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids, MI invites you to join as a Production Operator I in a high-volume assembly environment. You will load, unload and hand parts into the machine, troubleshoot from blueprints, and support changeovers and setups.

No prior manufacturing experience is required, and we offer benefits, competitive pay, paid time off, 401K, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts. This is a first-shift opportunity with 7:00am–3:00pm hours.

Qualifications

• No previous manufacturing experience required.
• Basic reading, writing, computer and math skills.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs. while standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and hand parts into the machine.
• Troubleshooting by reading blueprints on a computer monitor.
• Conduct changeovers and setups.
• Perform all quality functions and checks.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality functions.
• Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements.
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors.
