Job summary

Knape & Vogt is seeking a Production Operator I in Grand Rapids to hand assemble slide systems and parts, load and unload materials, and perform setup and changeovers. The role emphasizes strict safety and quality checks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will conduct quality inspections, follow packing instructions, and ensure accurate labeling while supporting shop orders and production flow on the first shift.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience and ability to operate presses.
• Ability to read print and basic documentation.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Hand assemble slide systems and parts.
• Load, unload and hand parts into the machine.
• Conduct changeovers and setups.
• Perform all quality functions and checks.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality functions.
• Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements.
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors.
