Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids is seeking a Production Operator I for 1st shift (7:00am-3:00pm). The role involves hand assembling slide systems, loading parts, and performing changeovers with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• No prior manufacturing experience required.
• Basic reading, writing, computer and math skills.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Hand assemble slide systems and parts.
• Load, unload and hand parts into the machine.
• Conduct changeovers and setups.
• Perform all quality functions and checks.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality functions.
• Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements.
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors.
