Job summary

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids seeks a Production Operator I to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will load, unload and hand parts, perform changeovers, and ensure quality and safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic reading, writing, computer and math skills.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English.
• Ability to efficiently work in a high fast paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. while standing for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and hand parts into the machine.
• Conduct changeovers and setups.
• Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements.
• Hand assemble slide systems and parts.
• Perform all quality functions and checks.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality functions.
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors.
• Other duties as assigned.
