Job summary

Tekni-Plex, Inc. seeks a production operator to manage the production process, machine setup, and materials changeovers under supervision, ensuring safety and quality.

Role emphasizes following production guidelines, proper material usage, packaging, and reporting productivity while adhering to safety policies and GMP-like procedures.

Qualifications

• Must follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Experience with production lines and changeovers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Adhere to safety policies; report injuries, damage and unsafe acts to leaders.
• Oversee production on assigned machines under the process lead.
• Set up machines, perform changeovers, and follow the Production Master (PMP) requirements.
• Use correct materials per BOM in the work orders for the assigned machines.
• Pack products and box safely, ensuring compliance and quality.
• Follow GMPs, safety, quality, and packaging specifications.
• Monitor productivity and report progress to supervisors/EMT.
• Provide information to the EMT/Process lead to prevent machine faults.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and notify any unsafe conditions to Shift Supervisor, shift engineer, Manufacturing Manager and Safety
• Safety: Follow all company safety policies. Immediately report any unsafe conditions or acts to the shift supervisors or other leaders. Immediately report any property damage to shift supervisors or other leaders. Immediately report any injury, including paint or discomfort (even from home), to the shift supervisor at time of occurrence.
• Direct responsible for the production process in the machines assigned. Under the Technical expert or process lead
• Following guidance and procedures about production process, machine set up, materials change overs and support tools change overs to comply the production work order within the timeline, order, and quality required. Compliance the PMP = Production Master
• Request and assure the use of the correct materials in his/her machine assigned according with the bill of materials in the WO's
• Pack product and make boxes ensuring safe, legal and quality products through assessment, inspections and verifications of processes at all stages of manufacturing.
• Fulfill all the procedures generated by the company, including but not limited to: Set/Up, change overs, GMP's, safety, quality, packaging specs, etc.
• Analyze its productivity and proceed with the follow up
• Provide to the Expert Manufacturing Technician (EMT) and/or Process lead useful information to avoid problems, damages and faults in the machines. Perform in the machine these activities following the EMT instructions.
