Job summary

CPS, Inc. is seeking a production operator to support all shifts as volume increases. The role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring equipment to produce and package finished products, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

The candidate should have at least two years in chemical or food processing, and forklift/GMP/HACCP qualifications are a plus. A strong focus on clean, organized work areas and adherence to food safety standards is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and mathematics at the high school graduate level.
• Minimum of two years of chemical or food processing experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• GMP training is a plus.
• HACCP training is a plus.
• Experience measuring, weighing, mixing, and processing ingredients.
• Ability to operate and monitor production and packaging equipment.
• Ability to draw product samples for quality testing.
• Ability to accurately record production, sanitation, and test data.
• Ability to safely operate production machinery, including forklifts, agitators, homogenizers, and drum tippers.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor equipment used for producing and packaging products.
• Measure, weigh, mix, and process chemical ingredients following established procedures to create finished products.
• Monitor batches for quality and food safety parameters, including Critical Control Points and Control Points.
• Record production, sanitation, and test data accurately and legibly.
• Draw samples of products for quality tests.
• Fill containers with chemical products for sale or internal use.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas according to company procedures.
• Promptly report all food safety, physical safety, and product quality issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
