Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking Production Operators for Harmony, NC. This role handles processing, grinding, and loadout equipment to ensure safe, efficient production and shipment of finished products.

You will monitor automated systems, maintain product quality, and adhere to Tyson safety and regulatory standards. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus 3-6 months in industrial settings; experience in rendering or food processing is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Minimum 3 months continuous experience in an industrial environment.
• Minimum 6 months continuous work history in past 2 years.
• Experience in manufacturing, rendering, or food processing preferred.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude required.
• Ability to operate machinery and computerized control systems.
• Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate processing and grinding equipment according to production schedules.
• Monitor and adjust process controls for optimal performance.
• Set up and operate grinding systems used in production.
• Coordinate with receiving, production, and loadout teams to maintain workflow.
• Load and ship finished products; verify quantities and shipping docs.
• Perform quality checks and support QA/HACCP programs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance.
• Operate forklifts, loaders, conveyors, and loadout equipment safely.
• Record production, quality, and shipping data accurately.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow sanitation and safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team and report safety concerns.
