Job summary

ASR Group in Chicago seeks a Production Operator to learn all aspects of the sugar production line, including loading/unloading bulk sugar, melt processing, and packaging. You will start up equipment, monitor malfunctions, and perform routine QC and paperwork.

The role requires 1–3 years in manufacturing, HS diploma, and willingness to train across functions. Forklift experience is preferred, and overtime including weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing or similar industry experience.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment preferred.
• Prior forklift experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written English skills.

Responsibilities

• Start up equipment and observe for malfunctions.
• Report malfunctions to supervisor and perform minor adjustments.
• Execute bulk load/unloading and packaging per procedures.
• Perform quality control per standardized processes.
• Complete all necessary paperwork per procedures.
• Replenish packaging supplies as needed.
• Open to cross-functional training in all areas of operation.
• Participate in customer/federal audits as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.
