Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a 2nd shift Utility to pack brown, powdered, and private label sugar into cases and onto pallets. You will lift up to 50 lbs, monitor quality, and maintain a clean production area while supporting machine operators.

The role requires a 12-hour shift layout, English comprehension, and attention to detail in a fast-paced plant environment. Training and growth opportunities are available within a large sugar industry leader.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Must understand verbal and written English.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• HS Diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pack finished goods into cases, place finished case onto pallet (must be able to lift 50 lbs).
• Check packages for quality issues: back seal, end seals, production date code on bags and boxes.
• Maintain cleanliness of production area around assigned line.
• Open re-work and returned product when necessary.
• Assist machine operator as needed (changing poly, learn basic operations to stop/start machine).
• Label boxes as necessary.
• Assist in cleaning of the plant as required.
• Be vigilant for product contamination and report issues to line operator or shift supervisor.
