Job summary

Elite Staffing Inc. is hiring a Production Operator/Bag Machine Operator in Tolleson, AZ. You will operate bag line equipment to produce printed and functional plastic bags per quality specs, under supervision.

Responsibilities include setting up lines, loading film, reading orders, adjusting ink and cylinders, performing quality checks, and maintaining food safety and GMP compliance. Shifts are 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am, with 2-2-3 rotation and wage differentials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Able to work 12-hour day and night rotating shifts.
• Overtime may be required.
• Complete training courses as determined by management.
• Able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and designated Shift Leads, this position is responsible for operating bag line equipment in order to produce printed and functional plastic bags following quality specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Setup and operate bag machine(s) and support equipment to convert plastic to bags
• Read and verify line orders/dockets.
• Understand printing job requirements by the specifications.
• Set up the bag line by loading film and adjusting for size.
• Mount cylinders, adjusts pressure, tensions and adjusts distribution of ink.
• Trouble shoot stoppages and breakdowns.
• Perform quality checks of material being produced and related documentation.
• Responsibility for food safety and GMP’s
• Complete daily production paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Candidate Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Ability to work 12 hour day and night rotating shift.
• Work overtime as required.
• Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management.
