Job summary

Elite Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator in Provo, UT to set up and run food processing and packaging equipment according to SOPs. You will monitor quality, perform basic troubleshooting, and maintain documentation.

This role requires a HS diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. Shifts offered: 5:30-2:00 ($17), 1:30-10:00 ($18), 9:30-6:00 ($19).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or food production preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical processes quickly.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate food processing and packaging machinery per SOPs.
• Monitor equipment performance and product quality.

• Document production data such as batch records and downtime logs.
• Follow safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols including PPE.
• Clean and sanitize equipment as required during and after production.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production or equipment concerns.
• Assist with changeovers, line startups, and shutdowns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Set up and operate food processing and packaging machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor equipment performance and product quality throughout the production run.
• Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
• Ensure accurate documentation of production data, such as batch records, machine settings, and downtime logs.
• Follow all safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols, including wearing required PPE.
• Conduct cleaning and sanitization of equipment as required during and after production.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any production or equipment concerns.
• Assist with changeovers, line startups, and shutdowns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
