Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Production Operator on the 2nd Shift in Cambridge, OH. The role focuses on producing quality products with minimal scrap while adhering to safety standards. Compensation is hourly at $18/hr with a $1/hr shift differential, 2pm–10pm, Monday–Friday with overtime potential. Candidates should have manufacturing experience and be able to lift 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Willing to work overtime including weekends.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. on an infrequent basis.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and complete changeovers timely.
• Produce and use Material Identification labels.
• Identify quality material prior to packaging.
• Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; notify supervisor of any safety issues.
• Attend work on time and for scheduled hours daily.
• Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition in line with 5S standards.
• Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
