Role Overview

The Production Operator is responsible for the accurate and timely manufacture of batches. This includes measuring all required materials accurately, adding them correctly, and operating all pressure kettles and mix tanks, including scales, pumps, tanks, and other manufacturing equipment. The operator must maintain a safe and sanitary work environment by ensuring the department and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to work on weekends as needed to fulfill scheduled customer orders.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs without difficulty.
• Proficiency in weighing ingredients accurately using tools such as floor scales and flow meters.
• Quick learner with the ability to suggest process improvements.
• Willingness and ability to wear a full-face respirator when handling specific materials.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Computer literacy, with ability to navigate between different windows and transactions.
• SAP knowledge and experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
