Job summary

Vantedge Medical is seeking a Production Operator in Wheeling, IL for multiple shifts including weeknights and weekends. You will load/unload parts, operate rotating machinery, inspect components, and maintain quality with basic math and precision.

This full-time, onsite role offers a competitive hourly rate, bonus opportunities, and a path to cross-train in the Secondary Department while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a machine operator.
• Cooperative, team-focused attitude.
• Ability to cross-train in the Secondary Department.
• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read English and follow SOPs.
• Ability to read blueprints (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform finishing activities with the use of grinding tools; sharpen corners or edges, buff down surfaces, polish for brighter finish.
• Fine-tune finished piece processing with knives, cutting tools, hand sanders, and other manual equipment.
• Maintain count of machined parts and clean, wash or tumble parts as required.
• Operate a grit / sand blasting machine (we will train)
• Follow all safety guidelines as stated by Vantedge Medical
• Read and understand standard operating procedure instructions (we will train)

• WEEKNIGHT SHIFT: 4:30pm to 3:00am (10-hour shift)

flexible to select a start time between 4:30pm and 6:00pm M-F and occasional weekends may be needed.

• WEEKEND DAY SHIFT: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm | 3 days per week (Friday- Sunday)
• WEEKEND NIGHT SHIFT: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am | 3 days per week (Friday- Sunday) PAY: $17.00-$19.00 per hour DOE SHIFT PREMIUM: Plus 10% for weeknight shift

Plus 11% for weekend day shift + pay for additional 4 hours

Plus 15% for weekend night shift + pay for additional 4 hours

BONUS

$1,000 Sign-on Bonus for Weeknight Shift | $1,500 Sign-on Bonus for Weekend Shifts

About The Opportunity

The Production Operator is responsible to do a variety of functions in the department including manually loading and unloading parts into rotating machinery, using basic math skills, and inspecting parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment.

• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and good manual dexterity in both hands.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand/walk throughout the day for entire shift
• Ability to read English and follow standard operating procedure instructions
• Ability to read and understand blueprints (preferred)
• Communicate / train others when needed
• Ability to inspect parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer etc.)
