Job summary

Premium Waters, Inc. in Quincy, IL is seeking a Production Operator to run machine centers on production lines, ensuring safe and efficient operation for quality products.

You will monitor lines, perform routine inspections, and participate in preventative maintenance, cleaning, and material handling using the BOM. A high school diploma or GED is required, with two years of related experience preferred; basic math and computer skills are pluses; safety is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Operates production machinery, in accordance with attached specifications.
  • Ensures high quality product is produced through observation and inspections.
  • Monitor the production line for jams, pile-ups, or glue defects.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform basic cleaning of machinery and the plant.
  • Use the BOM to obtain raw materials and keep machines filled.
  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging.
  • Count and record finished/rejected items, machine downtime, materials used.

Job description


  • Production Operator runs the individual machine centers on each production line.

  • They are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of their machinery and the production of quality product at an acceptable rate.

  • Operates production machinery, in accordance with attached specifications.

  • Ensures through constant observation and routine inspections that high quality product is being produced.

  • Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or glue that isn’t sticking properly.

  • Participate in preventative maintenance of equipment.

  • Performs basic cleaning of machinery and of the plant.

  • Use the BOM to obtain needed raw materials and is responsible for keeping assigned machine filled with these materials.

  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.

  • Count and record finished and rejected packaged items, machine downtime, quantity of materials used, etc.


Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of two years work-related experience or training preferred.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

  • Computer experience is preferred.
