Job summary

Jobtailor in Wisconsin seeks a diligent Manufacturing Associate to weigh, mix, and process materials, ensuring smooth flow through production. You will monitor conditions, inspect for contamination, and maintain equipment and work areas to meet quality and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma (or equivalent), basic math and tape measure reading skills, and familiarity with MS Office.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Competency assessment may be considered in lieu of education.
  • 1 year manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math including operations with a tape measure.
  • Good computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Compound, weigh, mix, and process materials.
  • Ensure even flow of mixed compound through manufacturing process.
  • Inspect materials for contamination via color perception.
  • Weigh and mix raw materials according to formulations.
  • Inspect scales for accuracy and operate equipment per procedures.
  • Report inconsistencies or problems to the Production Supervisor.
  • Maintain safety by following PPE rules and Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean and equipment in safe condition.
  • Support continuous improvement and training as directed.

Job description

  • Compound, weigh, mix, and process materials throughout the facility
  • Ensure even flow of properly mixed compound through the manufacturing process
  • Check raw materials for contamination using color perception
  • Weigh and mix raw materials according to formulations and instructions
  • Inspect scales for accuracy and operate equipment according to standard procedures
  • Visually check batch mixing consistency and report inconsistencies or process problems to the Production Supervisor
  • Load raw materials and oil into the mixer according to schedule and work instructions
  • Monitor mixing conditions and adjust bulk oil setup as needed
  • Clean mixer chambers, mills, mill pans, tools, workstations, and surrounding areas
  • Maintain efficient machine flow to minimize production loss
  • Report equipment problems and participate in solutions
  • Verify area and equipment safety before performing duties
  • Follow facility safety rules, PPE requirements, and Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
  • Maintain equipment in safe operating condition and report issues to Maintenance
  • Participate in training new Associates as directed
  • Perform other projects or tasks assigned by Management
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent is desired
  • Successful completion of Competency Assessment may be considered in lieu of education
  • One (1) year manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Good computer and systems skills, including MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds regularly
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Ability to visually identify color differences and material contaminants or inconsistencies
  • Good cooperation and collaboration skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines
  • High concentration, attention to detail, high energy, and self-motivation
  • Ability to manage demands and frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events through organization, prioritization, and problem-solving
