Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Production Operators on 2nd or 3rd shift at our Pecatonica, IL facility. This entry-level role offers hands-on work in a union environment, with training provided to progress into specialized production.

You'll operate machines, maintain clean work areas, handle materials up to 50 lbs, follow food safety rules, and learn basic tools including SAP and forklift operation.

Job Description

We're currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team in a production operator role on 2nd or 3rd shift. This is an excellent opportunity to get started in our manufacturing facility and build the skills needed to transition into a specialized production role after your initial training and onboarding period.

What You’ll Start With

• Operate machines and keep production workflows running smoothly.


• Keep work areas clean, orderly, and compliant with plant sanitation rules.


• Move, stack, and handle raw materials or finished goods (lifting up to 50 lbs).


• Follow basic food safety, quality control, and workplace safety procedures.


• Train on basic tools, software like SAP, and equipment including forklifts.

Important Details

Position is in a union manufacturing plant with training potentially on a different shift. Pay starts at $25.22/hr and is based on the union contract.

About You

• The ability to work on various shifts depending on available positions


• The ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary


• Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written


• Experience in a manufacturing environment – food manufacturing a plus
