Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Front End Lead at our Cambridge, MD facility to lead and support Kitter, Aseptic Batcher, and Process Operator teams, ensuring safe, compliant production.

You will train staff, verify weighing and batching, monitor aseptic operations per FDA/HACCP guidelines, and maintain data integrity in the recipe system while coordinating with shift supervisors to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade background preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably aseptic.
  • Strong leadership and ability to train and mentor employees.
  • Experience with HACCP, FDA regulations, and food safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Job Description
  • Lead and support Kitter, Aseptic Batcher, and Process Operator employees to maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
  • Train new and existing employees in all aspects of their roles to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Provide hands‑on support and guidance to team members, stepping in to perform tasks as needed.
  • Serve as a backup for the Production Shift Supervisor during absences or as required.
  • Ensure accurate weighing, scaling, and handling of ingredients as performed by Kitters.
  • Oversee the batching process to maintain consistent and accurate blending of ingredients according to batch sheets.
  • Monitor aseptic processing operations, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP guidelines, and company policies.
  • Verify process control parameters and support troubleshooting of equipment and procedural issues.
  • Ensure all sanitation and cleaning protocols are followed, including proper teardown and reassembly of equipment.
  • Maintain responsibility for data integrity in the recipe management system, ensuring accurate input and record‑keeping.
  • Review and validate completed production logs, batch sheets, HACCP records, and other regulatory documentation.
  • Ensure traceability by confirming accurate ingredient lot numbers, batch tracking, and compliance with inventory procedures.
  • Enforce adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety protocols, and workplace safety standards.
  • Ensure all employees are properly equipped with and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Identify and address potential safety risks and elevate concerns to supervisors as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the frontline employees and shift supervisors/management.
  • Communicate operational challenges, production delays, and quality concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork, accountability, and problem‑solving.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school background preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in an aseptic processing setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor employees.
  • In‑depth understanding of ingredient handling, batching processes, and aseptic production operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to list and move up to 50lbs as required as well as stand, bend, and move for extended periods of time.
  • Comfortable working in temperature‑controlled environments, including cold storage areas.
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles, FDA regulations, and food safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Shift: Days, Continental rotating schedule, 5am to 5pm

Rate of Pay: $33.58/hour
