Production Operator

SHIFT: 1st Shift Monday - Thursday 4:00 am to 4:00 pm

PAY: $29.25 per hour

Role Focus: Production Operator

• In this role, you will be a key member of our Land O’Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, performing front-line production processes that add value and quality to inputs and the creation of final high-quality products. You will gain skills and experience in taking raw materials to produce our final products for customers. This includes operating machinery and equipment, packaging the final product. This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business, serving producers and animal owners throughout the United States. We innovate nutritional products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Comply with all safety processes and insist on safety practices for yourself and others.
2. Show up on time, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt to changes quickly.
3. Multi-task and keep up with production demands in a fast-paced environment.
4. Ensure all quality standards and standard operating procedures are followed during production.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
6. Collaborate and follow instructions from Leads and Management to accomplish daily work assignments.

Required Experience and Skills:

1. Must be 18 years or older.
2. At least 1 year of work experience in any industry.
3. Basic computer and math skills.
4. Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
5. Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve, and troubleshoot.
6. Strong collaboration and communication skills, always respectful.

Preferred Experience:

1. Over 1 year of manufacturing work experience.
2. Machine operation and/or forklift experience.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
2. Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, and climbing.
3. Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
4. Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods, possibly with dust and chemicals present.
